Dr. Ward brings a specialized expertise in renewable energy technologies, and the use of the technologies in concert to produce zero waste outcomes. Dr. Ward has consulted for industry, government, and non‐governmental organizations on energy conservation, energy production, and nutrient management in wastewater treatment, animal waste management, organic residual transformations to energy and beneficial soil amendments, and potable water production from post-consumer systems. Dr. Ward received her B.S. degree in Education from St. John’s University, and did graduate work in social systems communication at Teacher’s College, Columbia University. She remains a Visiting Scientist at Rutgers University, where she continues research in nutrient and energy production from organic residuals and microbial resistance systems.
